The eighth annual Faroe Pride will take place in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands on July 27th 2017. The parade starts by the national football stadium, Tórsvøllur at 4 pm and will end outside the Parliament building downtown. Everyone is free to join in the parade and celebrate diversity in the Faroe Islands.
A free Pride concert follows with Faroese acts such as Danny from Danny & The Veetos, Heiðrik á Heygum, Konni Kass and others.
An after party will take place in the gay-friendly bar Sirkus in Tórshavn.
Former Prime Minister of Iceland, Jóhanna Sigurðardótti, who was the world’s first openly gay head of government will open this year´s Faroe Pride with her wife, Jónína Leósdóttir, who is an Icelandic novelist, playwright, and former journalist.
